Hunting Permits Available

At the May 10, 2010 Regular meeting of the Board of Education, a resolution was passed permitting hunting on the District’s property on Town Line Road in the Town of Middlesex. A new set of regulations have been adopted for hunting on the property.

 

Hunting Regulations

 

·         Permits are only available to District residents holding valid hunting licenses.

·        The permit will be valid only on District-owned property at Town Line Road and Route 364 in the Town of Middlesex.

·         Hunting is only permitted in season.

·         All DEC regulations apply.

·         Hunting is permitted only on days when school is not in session.

·         All hunters are required to sign in and out of the property at the kiosk located in the parking area on Town Line Road.

·        Hunters are required to report all game harvested when they sign out.

·         Any tree stands and blinds must be removed at the end of each day.

·        The permit is valid for use only by the permit holder.

·         One copy of the permit must be carried by the hunter, and the other displayed on the vehicle dashboard.

·         Permits expire on July 1, each year.

·        The District reserves the right to rescind a permit at any time, with timely notification of the permit holder.

 

Permits are available at the District Office beginning on July 1. Hunters are asked to bring proof of District residency and a valid hunting license when they apply for a permit.
